The question “Are women cheating more?” has been asked many times before, and the answer is simple.
Today’s teenagers have access to hundreds of websites where they can download and view images, videos, and chat with other teens, and be a part of the social media world. They can even call up their boyfriends and ask them to meet them somewhere special.
This has created the next big thing in online dating and it is the “smartphone dating apps”. And because of this, there are literally thousands of new “online dating services” flooding the market place and taking all the attention away from the real dating sites. I will cover a few of the ones that are causing problems.
There are dating sites that will actually encourage “covert” communication with another user by allowing users to send and receive texts, messages, and emails. Some even allow others to be a part of your Facebook or MySpace page and view the people you have matched with, even if you are in public. What this means is that anyone could potentially know if you have had a new partner for over a week, and while that can be a risk, you should not have to worry about it.
Another big concern in the “social media” field is whether or not it is okay to post personal information such as phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses on your profile. Some websites will require a proof of identity and others won’t. However, there are also some companies that do not need proof of identity at all, which leaves all of your information completely exposed.
In fact, it is possible to use someone else’s email address to get an identity based on that address, especially if you are using their email to talk to a family member. This type of email “spoofing” is not illegal but it is unethical. I highly recommend never doing this.
The biggest problem with online dating is the fact that no one knows who you are. You will have to show your face to give out your contact details, but unfortunately there is no way to tell if the person you are chatting with is a real person or just a computer generated image.
Some people might think that since women cheat more than men, this would automatically be true. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Women cheat because they are feeling insecure, and when the reasons why are not discussed, they tend to lose interest.
Sociologists have found that the number one reason why women cheat is not due to feeling “unloved”unimportant” or even that they feel “entitled”. Instead, it is usually due to insecurity and disappointments that come with having children. Men may be able to bond better emotionally, but that does not mean that they will be able to stand by a woman when she is experiencing negative emotions such as stress, sadness, or anger.
In today’s society, teenagers have access to both the “smartphone “dating apps and the “social media” websites on their “smartphone “and “Facebook “devices. They can receive messages from people they are interested in without actually speaking to them. In fact, it is safe to say that you cannot be truly sure that any given person is not just an imaginary character.
While it is true that most people will date other people they know in their hometown, many of them are just interested in “looking” good in a local dating ad. In fact, even if they choose to use the same town that they grew up in, they will still have their own interests and so will be able to create profiles that attract others in their “town” (though that does not mean that they are dating).
If you are still single and wondering “are women cheating more?” Then I would say to go back to what made you lonely, and try to change it. Find a local and new person that you feel good around and find a great time to be together!
